InstaPods ("we", "us", "our") is operated by ExpressTech Systems, based at 780, Sector 7, HSR Layout, Bangalore, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our app hosting platform and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.

Payment information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVC, or other card details on our servers. Stripe may collect billing information as described in their privacy policy.

Usage data: We collect data related to your use of the platform, including:

• Pod creation and management activity
• API usage and request logs
• Resource consumption metrics (CPU, memory, storage)
• Authentication events

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain our hosting services
• Process your transactions and manage your account
• Monitor resource usage and enforce plan limits
• Send service-related communications (account alerts, billing, downtime notices)
• Improve our platform and develop new features
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents

3. Cookies

We use session cookies strictly for authentication purposes. These cookies keep you logged in while you use our platform.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not serve ads or share cookie data with advertisers.

4. Data Storage and Location

Your account data and application servers are currently hosted in the European Union (Hetzner data centers in Germany). Pods run on servers in the EU, with planned expansion to the US and other regions.

When we add new regions, your pods will run in the region you select. Account-level data (name, email, billing records) remains on our primary application server in the EU.

5. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion request.
• Pod data: Your application files and pod data are deleted when you delete a pod.
• Usage metrics: Retained for up to 30 days for billing and operational purposes.
• Billing records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• Stripe - Payment processing. Stripe handles all credit card data under their own privacy policy and PCI DSS compliance.
• Hetzner - Infrastructure provider. Servers are hosted in Hetzner data centers in Germany.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• OAuth 2.0 authentication with PKCE for API and third-party integrations
• Session-based authentication with secure, HttpOnly cookies
• Isolation between user pods

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete information
• Delete your personal data and account
• Export your data in a standard format
• Cancel your account at any time

9. Children's Privacy

InstaPods is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will notify registered users via email and update the effective date at the top of this page.

Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
